Know What the Session Flag and Cookie Do
A single browser-side flag is kept for the current session so that one page view is counted only once, rather than being counted again on every scroll or interaction. Separately, one first-party cookie is set, but only when a visit arrives from a search engine. It holds nothing but the name of that search engine, lasts for up to one hour, and exists only so that a later click on an outbound link can be matched to the search engine that brought the visitor here. No other browser storage and no persistent identifier are set.

The content delivery network that serves this site's static files reports the country a request comes from, and the site does not collect anything more precise than that about a visitor's location. No fine-grained geolocation, IP-level tracking or device fingerprinting is part of this build.
